Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how WFHelper "we" handles information when you use the WFHelper desktop application or visit wfhelper.com.

WFHelper is a non-commercial fan project. We collect as little data as possible.

What data the desktop app handles

Stored locally on your device

The WFHelper desktop application stores the following on your computer only. None of this data is transmitted to our servers:

• Your Warframe.market inventory, settings, and trading statistics.
• Cached item metadata and pricing snapshots, to reduce repeat network requests.
• OCR scan results from in-game screen captures (used for the Riven scanner and reward overlay).
• Application logs and error reports.

You can delete this data at any time by uninstalling the application or clearing the application's data folder.

Sent to Warframe.market on your behalf

When you use features that read or modify your Warframe.market account (such as listing orders or syncing inventory), the app communicates directly with Warframe.market's official API using your authenticated session. We do not see, log, or proxy this traffic. Warframe.market's own privacy practices apply to that data.

What data our backend processes

To reduce load on Warframe.market's API, the desktop app fetches cached pricing and item metadata from our backend at api.wfhelper.com. This backend runs on Cloudflare Workers.

What we receive

For each request to our backend, Cloudflare and our Worker briefly process the following technical data, which is required for the service to function:

• IP address — used for rate limiting (preventing abuse) and is automatically discarded after the rate-limit window expires (typically 10 minutes, never longer than 24 hours).
• Request path — for example, the item slug being looked up. Used to fetch the right cached data.
• A short-lived bootstrap token — issued to the desktop app on startup to identify legitimate clients. This token does not identify you personally.

What we do NOT receive or store

• Your Warframe.market username, email, or login credentials.
• Your in-game inventory contents.
• Your trading history, statistics, or financial data.
• Your real name, address, or any other identifying personal information beyond the IP address described above.

Retention

Rate-limiting counters auto-expire within 24 hours. Cached pricing data (which contains no user information) is retained for up to 48 hours. We do not maintain long-term logs of individual requests.

Cookies and tracking on wfhelper.com

The wfhelper.com landing page uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track individual users across sites. No marketing cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party tracking pixels are used. We do not require a cookie consent banner because we do not set non-essential cookies.

Third parties

WFHelper relies on the following third-party services. Please refer to their respective privacy policies:

• Cloudflare — hosts our backend and landing page. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
• Warframe.market — the desktop app communicates with their API on your behalf. warframe.market.
• GitHub — used to distribute releases and host source code. GitHub Privacy Statement.
• Ko-fi — optional support links. We do not see donor information beyond what Ko-fi displays publicly. Ko-fi Privacy Policy.

Your rights under GDPR

If you are in the European Union, you have the right to:

• Request access to any personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
• Object to processing or request restriction of processing.
• Lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde).

Because we do not maintain user accounts and only process IP addresses transiently for rate limiting, in practice we typically have no personal data to provide on request. To exercise any right above, contact contact@wfhelper.com.

Data security

All traffic to our backend uses HTTPS with HSTS enforced. We follow the principle of minimal data collection what we don't collect, we can't lose.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change and significant updates will be announced via the GitHub repository.
